  BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
It’s officially here: for the first time our newly unveiled Block 19 Syrah is just days away from release to our distributors, meaning if you are lucky you might just be able to find a bottle near you. We say might because just 150 cases were produced in total, and now everyone is going to want some because she just scored a Gold medal at the San Franscico Chronicle International Wine Competition. We are told that not only was this the only Syrah to earn a Gold medal from Washington in its category, and just one of four such Syrahs to do so in the entire competition with over 6000 submissions!

If you want to improve your chances of procuring a bottle, email us at info@revelrywines.com.

Today was spent walking the rows of a handful of blocks yet to be harvested sampling fruit for ripeness and readiness. With all of our Merlot now fermenting we are looking ahead to many other varieties with the next likely pick to be Red Mountain Cabernet.
Shown here Block 11 Cabernet Sauvignon at Sagemoor Vineyard.

The punchdown. For those of you unfamiliar, punching downing is the process of reintegration the skins of the grape with the juice during fermentation to evoke color, flavor, texture and aromatics. It is a physically demanding yet very important part of winemaking.

Two Months in Real Time

When you are in the business of making and selling wine, as we here at Revelry Vintners are - there is no shortage of hard work. When you round up a group of talented 30 - somethings (as we all are) hellbent on doing things perhaps often not the easiest way, but certainly best - the workload is staggering. For 10 months out of the year we work tirelessly to produce the best wines, and experiences for our customers possible; for the other two months we work even harder. That time is known as harvest, and harvest starts now.

Last year we made a movie documenting the winemaking process from start to finish. This year, for the next two months we will document our experiences in near-realtime. Periodically we’ll post, just as we have in the past, fully edited video and photos, but this year the project we are undertaking is to share with you what we see, when we see it and on the fly. Totally mobile. Try to keep up.

  ALL ACCOUNTED FOR:
Weeks and many hours in the making, the 2009 Weinbau Vineyard Cabernet Franc hero shot is complete. This represents our smallest production lot ever at just over 20 cases released. It is a simply amazing wine. Now it is immortalized in photograph.

HOVER OVER THE IMAGES TO VIEW THEM IN ALL THEIR GLORY
Out with the old and in with the new. The days of the white-masked background bottle shot are gone. We recently reshot all our wines in their natural environment. Lets us know what you think.

Well, well, look who went and made a movie! Revelry is more than just winemaking; it is passion, a creative spirit, and it is the pursuit of pure authenticity and transparency. To that end, we began filming all aspects of winemaking from vine to bottle. Follow along through the 2011 harvest season as we sample and harvest fruit, and begin to craft that fruit into wines of exceptional quality.
